Issue 35

"The one time I am careless enough to leave my favorite toes unprotected, I locate Joy's gardening trowel with the big toe of my right foot, slamming into it at the end of a pace as if I'd kicked it on purpose. My sock does not immediately start dripping red, so apparently the toenail is still attached. For a while, I have to hop around on one leg, spitting out synonyms for fertilizer.
"Breaking off a piece of my mind and wrapping it in recriminations, I go looking for Joy."
