Issue 54

"I hate Aesop. 'The Grasshopper and the Ants' is a loathsome story. You all remember it: the endearing grasshopper sings and dances all summer long, basking in the sun and admiring the flowers, while the ants, curmudgeonly myrmidons, trudge around in lockstep with their eyes on the ground, picking up crumbs. Winter comes and the grasshopper, frozen and starving, shows up on the ants' doorstep, begging for food. The ants shut the door in his face, explaining self-righteously that those who frivol their time away deserve what they get. I like the grasshopper."
