Five of us worked on Chicken Soup for the Gardener’s Soul for two years. We read over 5,000 stories, edited 500, voted it down to 160, then bound them up in booklets, sent them out to 40 volunteer readers, and asked them to rate each story on a scale of 1 to 10.
